WØSOE 146.820 Repeater

Please note that these pictures and descriptions are from 2002.

This page is dedicated to the 146.82 repeater located near Hutchinson Kansas . It is one of three repeaters owned and operated by the Wichita Amateur Radio Club.

Newer pictures of the Nov. 2004 tower climb are available from this link.

The repeater has a new power amplifiier and is back up to full power again. John Lock arranged for a tower climbing crew to take a look at our equipment while they were on the tower doing some other work. They took pictures of our antennas and did a little antenna work while they were on the tower. They found that one of the antennas was rotated around and touching the tower leg so they turned it back around for us. They also took pictures of the antenna that is over lapping one of our antennas. While they were on the tower they also found that our 440 antenna was pointed down so they pointed it back at Wichita. Basically everything looks to be in fairly good shape now.

The repeater is located on this site. It is in the little white building behind the micro wave dishs on the left. It will soon be painted a "Lovely Shade of Off White" according to an anonymous group of volunteers.

Ever wonder why we are having poor coverage in some areas. Our antenna is the one against the tower leg behind the antenna on the extension.
